VMA Welcomes our new Alumni Relations Coordinator, Monica Wehrman Lonnemann, ‘83
Dear Fellow Alumni,
It is with great anticipation that I begin my new role as Villa’s Alumni Relations Coordinator. I am very excited to be serving in this capacity, and look forward to both renewing friendships with former class mates and building new ones with alumni from all decades. My goal is to build superior communication among our alumni and VMA.
For those who might not know me, I’d like to briefly introduce myself. After graduating from Villa in 1983, I attended Eastern Kentucky University where I earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in 1987. I returned to Northern KY, and worked 11 years for the American Financial Group in their Property/Casualty and Life Insurance divisions. During this time I met and married my husband, Vince Lonnemann. We have two boys, Nick and Luke, currently ages 14 and 11. When my second son was born, I decided to stay home with our boys while they were young. During these years I enjoyed various volunteer activities, including my role as the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Coordinator for my parish, St. Joseph, in Crescent Springs, KY. In addition to coordinating IHN, I’ve participated in a multitude of activities for my Parish and School community. I also had the rewarding experience of volunteering for the St. Augustine Parish Center, who served the people living in the government housing projects in City Heights, Covington.
To those alumni who haven’t been here in a while, I sincerely encourage you to visit our campus. It’s as beautiful as ever! I believe you’ll be as excited as I am to discover the amazing Performing Arts Theatre, the Athletic Complex, the addition of wonderful art and music rooms, and of course to bask in the memories of your days at VMA. This is an outstanding, thriving School, one I’m sure you’ll be proud and delighted to rediscover.
Please send us information about you! We’d love to share photos of you, your children, information about your family, your work, etc,. If you’re in town, please consider a tour. Everyone at Villa is happy to have our alumni visit. You can contact me any time at (859)-331-6333, ext. 103, or at mlonnemann@villamadonna.net. I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Monica Wehrman Lonnemann ’83
